First Baptist Church is joining the Boardman Chamber of Commerce in the 4th of July Celebrations at the Boardman Marina Park.
We will be hosting a Chili Cook-off for the community.
We are asking for teams or individuals to create a chili based on their own recipe.
4th of July park guests will be asked to pay $5 to enjoy eating their choice of chili entries.
Participants in the cook-off will be judged by a panel. Those who pay to enjoy the different chili offerings will also be able to vote on their favorite. We plan to have two winners selected by the judges and a people’s choice winner.
The First Place judges choice will receive a $250 Beef Box from Eastern Oregon Mobile Slaughter. Second Place will receive a $100 Pork Box from EOMS. The People’s Choice winner will receive a $100 Gift Card for Ace Hardware.
The cost of entering your chili will be $25.
We will set up our area for people to prepare their chili on-site. Those who prepare ahead of time will be asked to provide their recipe.

Proceeds from the chili cook-off will become a part of the church outreach fund. This fund is used to support people in need around the community. This fund has been used to fill up gas tanks, buy meals, pay for motel rooms, etc.
